Rescue Update: Fall 2026
Over the past three months, we have had the privilege of welcoming 10 new residents at The WellHouse. Each woman who comes through our gates represents so much more than a number. She represents a life, a story, and an opportunity for hope, healing, and a new beginning.
As the need for our services continues to grow, we continue to maintain a waitlist of women who are ready and asking for help. Our work with these women does not begin when a bed becomes available. While they wait, Intake stays connected with them, offering support, helping address immediate needs, and connecting them with resources that can help keep them safe and supported until we are able to welcome them into our program.
Our intake line also serves many people who may never become residents of The WellHouse. Every call is an opportunity to help. When someone does not meet our program criteria, needs a different level of care, or simply needs services closer to home, we work to connect them with appropriate resources and programs in their community. Sometimes that means locating safe shelter, treatment, medical or mental health services, substance-use resources, or another trafficking-specific program that better meets their needs.
Serving someone does not always mean they will walk through our doors. Sometimes serving them means assessing needs, offering hope, and helping them find the right door to walk through.
We are incredibly grateful for everyone who makes this work possible. Your prayers, support, and generosity allow us to continue answering the phone, meeting women where they are, and reminding them that they are seen, valued, and worthy of a life of freedom.
