What is your job title and what year did you come on staff at The WellHouse?
I am a Case Manager for the adult program, and I came on staff at The WellHouse in 2025.
What is your favorite part about your job?
My favorite part of the job has been walking alongside the residents in their daily lives. I love hearing their testimonies and watching the healing power of a relationship with Jesus Christ restore them to who God created them to be. I love being able to talk with them about Jesus, pray with them, and encourage their healing and restoration.
Tell us about your educational and professional experience that equips you to be successful in this field.
I have a B.S. In Criminal Justice from Jacksonville State University as well as an MS and EdS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Jacksonville State University. I am currently an Associate Licensed Counselor and working towards maintaining my LPC.
Tell us about your journey coming into the anti-trafficking field and with The WellHouse.
After beginning my counseling journey in 2019, I knew that I wanted to work with survivors of domestic abuse/sexual assault. After learning about the mission of The WellHouse, I feel like the Lord has been calling me here to walk alongside survivors in their healing and be an advocate for them and those who come after them.
How has working at The WellHouse impacted your life?
Working at The WellHouse has deepened my faith in Jesus and strengthened my understanding of what it means to live out the Gospel. Walking alongside survivors has taught me to rely on Christ daily, to lead with humility and compassion, and to trust His power to bring healing and restoration. This work has affirmed my calling to serve others as an expression of obedience, love, and faith.
