What is your job title and what year did you come on staff at The WellHouse?
I am a Behavioral Support Specialist at WellHouse Child. I came on staff in 2026, and since starting, I have been so grateful for the opportunity to support residents while learning more about the important work The WellHouse does every day.
Tell us about your educational and professional experience.
I graduated from UAB in August of 2024 with my Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Forensic Psychology. Earning my degree helped me build a strong foundation in understanding the justice system, trauma, and behavioral patterns, which I believe will be valuable in my current role.
Tell us about your journey coming into the anti-trafficking field and with The WellHouse.
My journey began through my work with CampHope America, where I have spent the past two summers gaining hands-on experience supporting kids and teens. That experience deepened my passion for advocacy and working with individuals who have experienced trauma. I feel that the skills and perspective I gained there will allow me to continue growing and making a meaningful impact at The WellHouse.
