I am a Behavioral Support Specialist for WellHouse Child, and I joined the team in 2025.
What is your favorite part about your job?
My favorite part about my job is laughing with the residents and seeing them flourish!
Tell us about your educational and professional experience that equips you to be successful in this field.
I have an Associates of Art degree from Shelton State, and I am close to the end of my journey to receive my Bachelors Degree in Social Work from UAB!
Tell us about your journey coming into the anti-trafficking field and with The WellHouse.
I found out about The WellHouse many years ago, but I started to get involved as a Junior Board member, and then as a weekly Pilates instructor for the residents in 2025. Doors started opening for me, and I ended up working on the WellHouse Child team. I love being here and I know the Lord was directing my steps here no doubt!
How has working at The WellHouse impacted your life?
Working at The WellHouse has taught me to be obedient to the Lord even when I don't understand what He's doing. He is always looking at the whole picture, and has taught me so much about humility and faithfulness in my time here. I am so honored to be at The WellHouse!
