What is your job title and what year did you come on staff at The WellHouse?
I serve as the WellHouse Woman Program Director, and I came on staff in 2020.
What is your favorite part about your job?
My favorite part of the job is witnessing firsthand the beautiful transformation of survivors as they experience true healing and restoration. Celebrating graduations is always an incredible blessing.
Tell us about your educational and professional experience that equips you to be successful in this field.
I actually changed career paths and went back to school after coming to work at The WellHouse. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work.
Tell us about your journey coming into the anti-trafficking field and with The WellHouse.
I felt God calling me to help victims of human trafficking, which led me to first learning about The WellHouse. After visiting the beautiful campus in 2017 and serving on a mission trip in 2019, I joined the staff in 2020. Originally from Maryland, I moved to Alabama to answer this calling and serve at The WellHouse.
How has working at The WellHouse impacted your life?
Working at The WellHouse has strengthened my faith, deepened my understanding of the importance of patience, presence, and faithfulness, and taught me to fully trust in the Lord’s perfect plan.
