Tell us about your journey coming into the anti-trafficking field and with The WellHouse.
My journey into the anti-trafficking field began after completing my Master’s degree, during which I took several Criminal Justice courses. I later continued my studies in Criminal Justice, and the coursework inspired me to serve my local community as a Reserve Police Officer for my hometown Police Department and with the Blount County Sheriff’s Office, where I became deeply aware of the severity of human trafficking. Through this experience, I developed both a strong desire and a calling from God to serve in a greater capacity. I am actively involved in youth ministry at Grace Baptist Church and have a heart for working with young people. After prayerfully seeking God’s direction, He opened the door for me to become part of this organization!
