What is your job title and what year did you come on staff at The WellHouse?

I serve as the Intake Coordinator at The WellHouse, and I joined the team in 2026.

What is your favorite part about your job?

My favorite part of my job is being able to connect with women at such an important moment in their journey. Being someone they can talk to, support, and help guide toward safety and healing is incredibly meaningful to me. It’s a privilege to be part of something that truly changes lives.

Tell us about your educational and professional experience that equips you to be successful in this field.

I have a degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology, and I previously worked as a probation officer with the state of Alabama for seven years. In that role, I worked with people from all different backgrounds and walks of life, which taught me so much about resilience, accountability, and compassion. Those experiences really helped prepare me for the work I do now.

Tell us about your journey coming into the anti-trafficking field and with The WellHouse.

Through my previous work, I was exposed to many different life situations and challenges people face, and it really grew my heart for helping others. Over time, I felt a pull toward doing more hands-on, purpose-driven work. When I learned about The WellHouse and the impact it has, I knew it was something I wanted to be part of. Joining the team felt like a natural next step in my journey.

How has working at The WellHouse impacted your life?

I’ve been able to witness firsthand the strength and resilience of the women we serve, and it’s given me a deeper appreciation for the work being done here. I’m really looking forward to continuing to grow in this role and seeing how this experience shapes me over time.
