Rescue Update: Summer 2025
I am overjoyed to share a powerful update from the front lines of hope and healing. Over the past three months of March, April and May, we have welcomed thirteen new residents at The WellHouse. Of those thirteen, nine brave women are from right here in Alabama — a sobering reminder that human trafficking knows no boundaries and can touch lives even in our own communities.
Each woman who comes through our gates is a living testimony to the redeeming love of Christ. As Isaiah 61:1 declares, “He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.” We are humbled to be part of that mission.
Our intake process is not just about paperwork or placement — it is about meeting women in crisis with dignity, compassion, and the unwavering truth that they are seen, known, and loved by God. From their very first moments on campus, we remind them that their story doesn’t end in trauma — it begins again in restoration.
Thank you for continuing to stand with us in prayer and partnership. Your support allows us to say “yes” when the call comes in — to be a light in the darkness and a safe place for women who are seeking freedom and healing. Please continue to lift up our new residents as they begin this journey. Join us in praying for strength, courage, and an overwhelming sense of God’s presence in their lives.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” – Psalm 147:3
