In the past three months, 8 survivors have been rescued through The WellHouse. Our staff was also involved in a sting operation in Atlanta during Super Bowl activities in which 18 victims were freed—9 of which were children. 169 were arrested including 26 sex traffickers and 34 individuals attempting to engage in sexual acts with a minor.*

One recent WellHouse rescue involved a young lady who was able to escape her trafficker and make it home. Her concerned mother called our rescue hotline and over a series of calls, the victim became willing and open to talking to our rescue coordinator. She then decided that she wanted to seek the restorative services The WellHouse offers.

She was brought to The WellHouse and received medical treatment for physical illness as well as trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder therapy services. The survivor was able to go back home in better care after her time at The WellHouse.

We receive many calls from concerned mothers involving trafficking of their daughters. A third party may contact our rescue hotline, and we will work with them until the victim is ready and willing to take next steps in their recovery.

Our rescue hotline is 1-800-991-0948.

*The operation was conducted by the Violent Crimes against Children/Human Trafficking Program and Metro Atlanta Child Exploitation (MATCH) Task Force, which included the FBI, U.S. Attorney’s Office Northern District of Georgia, the GBI and Georgia’s Department of Juvenile Justice. The WellHouse staff supported this effort onsite by identifying, searching for, and counseling victims.
