Tell us about your journey coming into the anti-trafficking field and The WellHouse.
While in school, I did a lot of research involving the abuse of adolescents. The more I read, the more I realized how under-researched this topic is and how misinformed people are on the subject of adolescent abuse. I was inspired to do what I could to help these adolescents. During my undergrad, I had the opportunity to intern at WellHouse Child, and now I serve on staff!
How has working at The WellHouse impacted your life?
Working at The WellHouse has shown me how giving basic kindness and patience to others changes outcomes. I have seen firsthand how treating people as equals shifts the mindset of others in a positive way. I think this experience has given me hope that people can come together and make a difference when everyone is willing to put in the time and effort.
