What is your job title and what year did you come on staff at The WellHouse?

I am the WellHouse Woman Case Manager for Next Steps to Freedom and I joined The WellHouse staff in 2023.

What is your favorite part about your job?

My favorite part of my job is getting to serve and be a part of the lives of each woman in our program–rejoicing in their victories, as well as being present with them in their struggles.

Tell us about your educational and professional experience that equips you to be successful in this field.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a minor in Counseling Psychology, a Master’s in Forensic Psychology, and am currently working towards counseling licensure in the state of Alabama.

Tell us about your journey coming into the anti-trafficking field and with The WellHouse.

While completing my undergraduate degree, I became aware of and educated on the issue of human trafficking. My passion for the anti-trafficking field began with raising awareness, outreach programs, and educating others on countering human trafficking. As I grew more knowledgeable, I felt called to more than just awareness and chose to specify my focus towards helping survivors of trafficking in hopes of helping make a tangible difference. Almost a decade ago, I came to know of The WellHouse through their work, and envisioned one day being able to work alongside them in any capacity. Now, orchestrated as only God can, here I am!

How has working at The WellHouse impacted your life?

Working at The WellHouse has impacted how I view the Lord’s daily provision and restoration. The way in which He consistently makes Himself known through staff and residents is a constant reassurance that, despite circumstances that occur in life, He is faithful–with us on the mountaintop and in the fire.
