I started working as a Staff Therapist at The WellHouse in December of 2023.
What is your favorite part about your job?
My favorite part about my job is assisting the women of The WellHouse find freedom and restoration from what seemed like a hopeless situation.
Tell us about your educational and professional experience that equips you to be successful in this field.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with six years of experience working in various settings within the mental health field. I work with individuals, as well as groups, on a wide range of issues. Some particular areas of clinical interest include: complex trauma, relationship counseling, depression, anxiety, women's issues, family origin issues, grief, shame, spiritual and identity development.
I received my Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of North Alabama, and earned my Master's in Clinical Mental Health from Nova Southeastern University.
How has working at The WellHouse impacted your life?
With The WellHouse I don't view the work I do as a job, it's a ministry. The fact that I get a chance to share the hope of Christ and actively aid in the battle against sex trafficking is a mission I'm grateful to be a part of.
