Rescue Update - Fall 2020
Updated October 20, 2020
In the last quarter, The WellHouse has assisted in retrieving 17 women and girls from the hands of their traffickers, bringing them to safety.
These ladies were found in places all over the United States including the Pacific Northwest, Missouri, Florida, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Fifteen of them entered The WellHouse program.
Our rescue team was challenged during more than one of the rescue operations with high-risk situations. One victim could not be told what state she was going to until she was brought safely to The WellHouse, for reasonable fear that the trafficker would attempt to follow in pursuit. Another victim was carefully searched for tracking devices when rescued because there was reasonable belief her trafficker was tracing her.
Our Rescue team works hard to devise and facilitate the best rescue operation plan for each case they encounter. They are helping victims from all over the United States leave dangerous, life-threatening situations and find a safe place to heal and recover. We are overjoyed when victims choose to stay at The WellHouse, and we ask for your fervent prayers over each victim that is found.
