What is your job title and what year did you come on staff at The WellHouse?

I work as a Behavioral Support Specialist for WellHouse Child, and I came on staff in 2023.

What is your favorite part about your job?

My favorite part about working at The WellHouse is being a servant of God and helping others during a difficult season of their life.

Tell us about your educational and professional experience that equips you to be successful in this field.

I began my career as a certified nursing assistant in 2006. After many years of working as a CNA, I wanted to change careers so I decided to pursue a degree in psychology. I graduated with a bachelor’s in psychology from Liberty University, and I began work in the mental health field in 2018. I am currently enrolled at Walden University pursuing a masters degree in clinical mental health counseling.

Please share your favorite memory from your time working at The WellHouse.

There are many special moments shared at The WellHouse, one particular moment I will never forget was during a church service where I got to experience worship with the residents, praise God, and receive His love.

How has working at The WellHouse impacted your life?

Working at The WellHouse has opened my eyes and changed the way that I think and act. I have seen first-hand the importance of mental health from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.
